This is our first time working with this silhouette after doing the Royal Lo and Royal Hi in past collaborations with PRO-Keds. Both were known as two of the earliest basketball shoes and The Royal Plus was introduced in the 70's as an upgrade to the Royal silhouette and worn by some early star players like Nate Archibald and Pete Maravich. Naturally the shoes took off in the New York City basketball scene and eventually became synonymous with the greater NYC street scene of the 70's and 80's.
